Learn the Native American Flute - A Beginner Workshop

Workshop Preview Video

Time to Awaken your flute medicine In this morning of sacred space and flute wisdom, with Sunshine Coast Sacred Sound Channel, and Music Teacher Troy Aaron.

No musical experience is necessary and this workshop is suitable for absolute beginners.

More advanced players will still pick up some useful tips, or are also welcome to come for a private lesson the following day (Sunday 25th).

On this day, you will experience a Sacred Space of initiation into the Native American Flute, plus Simple and detailed instructions on how to play the flute, including:

– A group meditation,

– time to connect with your flute and free play on the flute,

– breath exercises,

–how to get a solid and reliable sound on the flute,

– fingering, scales,

– how to play your own tunes on the flute.

Flutes Provided and For Sale:

No worries if you don't own a flute.

A set of special student flutes have been made for the workshop and will be available to play on the day.

These are also available for sale for $155 each.

Investment:

Early Bird (Before February 10th) - $65 (What a bargain! A private lesson normally costs $70/hour)

After February 10th or pay on the day - $80

What to Bring:

Water to hydrate

Your medicine Drum (if you have one)

Your own flute (if you have one)

Extra money if you wish to buy a flute on the day.

Other instruments:

There will also be other instruments such as medicine drums and Free-note Wings available for sale on the day.

About Troy:

Troy is a multi instrumentalist / musician and shamanic practitioner, and has been playing Native American Flute for over 10 years. He plays the flute in sacred sound events and ceremony around South East Qld and is engaged with passing the skill-set on to another generation of players.
